HOPE Medical Project is launched!

The Haiti Orphan Project is so excited to announce the launch of the HOPE Medical Project. Since our beginning, we have remained open to the possibility that part of our mission would include a medical component. Afterall, our founder is The Keane Insurance Group, a medical professional liability insurance agency. Our clients are physicians, nurses and clinics.

Our mission is to facilitate the development of healthy communities through partnerships with Haitian churches and organizations to encourage sustainable physical, spiritual and economic health; we desire to communicate Christ-centered compassion as well as respect for the dignity and resources of the Haitian people. It is a wholistic mission. A whole person mission.

With HOPE Medical Project, we can make in-roads into developing those healthy communities in the name of Christ. HOPE Medical Project’s mission states:

We seek to provide quality medical services to the orphans in our care and affordable treatment for our partner church and surrounding community with an emphasis on health education, as well as a desire to provide an atmosphere of Christ-centered compassion and respect for human life.

Our Haitian partner church, The Philadelphia Evangelical Church, invited us in to partner with them in this effort. We could not, indeed would not, undertake this huge project without them.

Luke and Julie Brouwer and their three children will be moving to Haiti, hopefully some time in 2013, to lead HOPE Medical on the ground in Haiti. Pray for them and if possible, help support them. The HOPE Medical Project website provides a way for you to financially support the Brouwers and the medical project.

Visit the HOPE Medical Project website and get involved. Read through the site to see how you can be a part of providing medical care to the neediest of the needy. Also visit the Facebook Page, “Like” it and share with others.
