Advisor & Translator
Joseph, or simply “Volcy” as he prefers, brings our much needed Haiti experience to the team. Volcy was himself orphaned at a young age and lived in a tent by himself for several years. Determined to not be another child casualty, Volcy worked hard and sought opportunities to advance his situation. He eventually was hired by Mission of Hope and later The Global Orphan Project. The Lord brought a wonderful lady, Jamith, into his life. The Volcy’s have Bailie and Samuel as well as two adopted children, Kenzy and Wismine. Volcy assists Pastor Pudens at Philadelphia Evangelical Church in several capacities and advises HOPE in important ways about Haiti and her rich culture. He also translates for the Brouwers and Peters as needed and for our visiting teams. His gifts are many! You can read more of Volcy’s story here.
